Orlando City Kombucha was founded in 2016 by two friends, Josh and Logan, with a goal of producing a unique, locally sourced, healthy, and delicious kombucha. The aim was to produce the highest quality kombucha that would ultimately provide a valuable service to our local community. Not only would it provide our customers with a healthy probiotic beverage but also support the broader community by sourcing our ingredients direct from Florida farms and businesses.
Our Founders Story:
“My name is Joshua Archer. I first learned about brewing kombucha from my good friend Sarah in 2013. I was tasked with maintaining her kombucha brew while she was out of town for a month. She taught me how to brew, flavor, and bottle the finished kombucha. I had tried commercial kombucha in the past and wasn’t really a fan. But one of the perks of brewing Sarahs’ kombucha was that I was able to flavor each bottle however I wanted. I was fascinated by the variety in flavor that could be achieved by manipulating factors such as fermentation time, tea types, sugar level, sugar source, and flavoring methods & ingredients. After this experience, I began to understand that not all kombucha is created equal. I eventually decided to start my own kombucha brew at home, then I was hooked.
Eventually, my friends and family were drinking more and more of the home brewed kombucha and Logan presented the idea of starting a business and brewing kombucha to sell locally. Having had little to no experience starting or running a business, I was reluctant, but with the encouragement of friends and fans of the brew Orlando City Kombucha was born.”
Orlando City Kombucha is now owned and operated by Joshua Archer and his life-long friend, Jonathan Tryon. We have grown a lot since 2016 and though some things have changed, our mission of producing the highest quality kombucha, using locally sourced ingredients remains the same. We are excited to continue serving our community as we continue to grow.
